Jill Clark
Jill discovered a love of music at Primary School - being welcomed into assemblies with classics such as Handels
'Water Music' and Arrival of the Queen of Sheba. She began learning the Piano when she was 7 after her
teacher discovered her ability to play by ear. Later when she was 13 she took up playing the trombone.
During her banding career Jill has enjoyed many experiences - both joyful and sad. She enjoyed the camaraderie of
competing in Solo and Duet contests during her youth. Gained much friendship and support from her old Bandmaster,
Des Webb, and felt the sadness and honour of playing at his funeral.
These days she enjoys seeing her banding friends and letting off steam through playing music.
