| My Role at MSB: |
Euphonium & Treasurer |
| When I joined MSB: |
2001 |
| Most Memorable Banding Moment: |
Playing Principle Euphonium for MSB at the Regionals in Torquay and not noticing that my No.2 on the day had dismantled his instrument due to a jammed valve. Had I known I would have probably fallen apart! |
| Most Embarrassing Banding Moment: |
Finally getting a personal mention from an Adjudicator! A wrong note as 2nd Euphonium during the Wychavon Entertainment Contest highlighted nicely in the comments. |
| My Personal Profile: |
Started young on Cornet in Tadley, quickly moving onto Flugel as I was beaten in a Solo Competition by a Flugelist playing the same piece.
Now taking my hobby too far by opening a Brass and Woodwind Shop in Totton with Graham Hayes!!!
Switched to Euph in my early 20's after trying to bite a moving Squash Racket. Joined Downton in 1986 and rose to the dizzy heights of the Championship (then the 1st Section), always coming second to Woodies!
Retired for a few years in 92 before following my good lady to Michelmersh where I have been ever since. A lovely Band with a great attitude and a fun bunch to be with.... |
